Concrete is fundamental to our built environment and infrastructure but its production is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve our net zero commitments, innovation must be developed and adopted rapidly and at scale. There are many innovative solutions in development, demonstrated through the number and quality of applications to the recent SBRI Decarbonising concrete competition.
Innovate UK are working with many in the concrete supply chain (including the Concrete Commitment Cohort, manufacturers, and specifiers) who are keen to understand more about the innovators with a view to collaborating.
To allow more innovators in this field to benefit from this opportunity, Innovate UK are providing a platform for the innovators to submit a brief overview of their approach which will be shared with contacts in the concrete supply chain. Using feedback from the supply chain contacts, Innovate UK will facilitate match making sessions and other support to help develop collaborations in this important field.
