The Critical Materials Supply Chains Investment Readiness Programme (IRP) returns for its third year in September 2026.

Background

Building on previously successful iterations, this Investment Readiness Programme (IRP) is being delivered by Innovate UK Business Connect, as part of the Critical Materials Supply Chains Innovation Network. This IRP is strategically aligned to Innovate UK’s Advanced Manufacturing sector delivery, as part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy, and will help ambitious growth oriented SMEs, operating across critical minerals and materials, to be more attractive to investors.

IUK Business Connect will support the delivery of this Investment Readiness Programme and will select up to 15 SMEs to benefit from the support described below which will accelerate their investment journey.

What to expect

Selected companies will benefit from a 12-week hybrid programme, combining expert-led online and in-person workshops. These sessions are designed not just to deliver content, but to foster deep peer-to-peer learning, build trusted relationships, and provide direct access to experts. Participation for in-person workshops is strongly encouraged to maximise the value of the programme, especially in terms of building your network and benefiting from real-time, collaborative feedback.

How to apply

To express your interest in taking part in the Investor Readiness Programme 2026 please follow the application link below. As part of your application, you will be asked to upload a maximum 5-minute video describing your company and relevant technology. Your video should be in standard MP4 format.
