About the “High-Performance Computing Voucher”

With this opportunity, you can access the exceptional HPC capabilities provided by the Hartree Centre.

We’re offering £5,000 vouchers to companies to access Hartree Centre’s powerful high-performance computing platform: Scafell Pike – the largest UK supercomputer dedicated to industry engagement.

This Atos BullSequana system offers approximately 25,000 cores, delivering robust computational capabilities for demanding workloads. Key resources include:

  • 730 Skylake standard compute nodes
  • 10 Visualization nodes, each equipped with 1 Tesla K40m GPU
  • 12 Skylake GPU nodes, each featuring 2 V100 GPUs
  • 8 High-memory Skylake nodes, each with 1TB of RAM for memory-intensive tasks

To ensure participants are fully prepared to maximise these resources, mandatory training is provided, allowing users to earn an HPC driving licence.

  • This offering is designed for experienced HPC users who can effectively leverage high-performance computing resources.

    You should apply if you:

    • Have prior experience with HPC and understand how to utilize parallel computing resources
    • Work in a business or industry where HPC can enhance AI, simulation, or data-intensive workloads
