Allen Trusty

I work as the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Knowledge Transfer Manager within the Transport team at Innovate UK Business Connect. My role is to help grow the UK SAF industry; I lead the delivery of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Innovation Programme to support the Jet Zero Council in building partnerships between innovators, investors, airline operators, OEMs, and expert technical service providers, to deliver at least 10% SAF in the UK aviation fuel mix by 2030.

My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.) from Sussex University. I bring with me wide-ranging technical knowledge as I have worked as an R&D chemist for over 9 years, developing fuel for various industries and applications.

I am passionate about sustainability and decarbonising the aviation industry. I am committed to continuous learning and open-mindedness in this fast-paced evolving sector to achieve Net Zero.
