I am a Knowledge Transfer Adviser for North Wales, Merseyside and West Cheshire, helping organisations unlock innovation and deliver economic impact through partnerships with knowledge bases via the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) programme.
I focus on building collaborative relationships that align business priorities with academic expertise to create value and long-term capability, and I am passionate about driving business competitiveness through innovation.
My background is in engineering, working in bioengineering consultancy designing novel implants in with leading med-tech manufacturers. I have a technical background in orthopaedics, computational and experimental strain analysis, and statistical shape modelling. I have managed clinical trials for complex interventions and led qualitative programmes that underpin current public health policy.
Working in higher education, I have overseen research commercialisation activities through spinout formation, licensing and consultancy, and managed institutional Knowledge Exchange portfolios for delivering industry-academic collaboration. I sit on several advisory boards for start-up and accelerator programmes.
