Birmingham powers up Green Energy Innovation Quarter to create green jobs and local business growth.
A partnership between Birmingham City Council, the University of Birmingham, and Tyseley Energy Park is supporting the creation of a Green Energy Innovation Quarter to decarbonise power, heat, and waste while enabling inclusive economic growth.
With support from the Net Zero Living programme, Birmingham City Council is building relationships with local businesses to help them develop the skills, knowledge and support networks needed to benefit from becoming more sustainable.
Central to this is a business forum, where local enterprises can regularly share insights, identify collective challenges, and collaborate on Net Zero solutions.
The initiative also works with local schools, colleges and education providers to inspire the next generation of green professionals, shaping pathways into Net Zero careers and helping young people build the skills for a low-carbon future.
