Oriane Chausiaux

Oriane Chausiaux is a HealthTech entrepreneur, co-founder and CSO of Heartfelt Technologies Ltd. Her passion for creating impactful solutions in the healthcare industry has driven her to tackle one of the biggest challenges faced by heart failure patients – adherence to their treatment regime.

“Heart failure is the leading cause of hospitalisation in the developed world,” she says. “The current drugs and treatments are hugely effective, so most hospitalisations are for patients who don’t actually take the drugs or report their symptoms as directed. The reason? Many of these patients simply can’t cope with taking over 10 different drugs per day as well as checking for symptoms. It can be overwhelming.”

That’s why Oriane has developed the first remote patient monitoring system, specifically designed to help non-adherent patients stay out of hospital and to improve their quality of life.

With a PhD in genetics from Cambridge University, she has extensive experience in negotiating with healthcare providers, navigating clinical trials and securing FDA approvals. And her hard work has paid off with the recent signing of the first commercial deal in the USA.

Despite the challenges she has faced, Oriane is a believer in the power of perseverance and self-belief. She shares her experience with others and actively mentors women students and startup founders, inspiring them to follow their dreams.
