The problem and opportunity
Pelvic floor problems affect millions across the UK, yet many delay seeking help due to embarrassment, low awareness and limited access to specialist care. Rising demand is increasing NHS waiting lists and workforce pressures. Existing solutions often focus solely on exercises, lack personalisation and struggle with engagement, creating an opportunity for trusted digital tools that support self-management, enable earlier intervention and complement healthcare services.
The solution and innovation
Know Your Floors combines clinically governed AI, evidence-based education, gamification and engaging pelvic floor routines in one app. It helps users understand symptoms, build healthy habits and stay motivated through interactive content, challenges, prompts, progress tracking and rewards. Built on behavioural insights and robust clinical governance, it has gained early traction through an engaged social media community, the #SqueezeAlong programme and recognition within the North East and North Cumbria Urinary Incontinence Pathway. The platform is progressing through clinical validation and open beta testing ahead of launch.
Market and ambition
Know Your Floors is launching as a direct-to-consumer subscription platform for people living with pelvic floor symptoms and limited access to specialist support. With 680,000+ social media followers, 1,500+ email subscribers and successful pilots demonstrating strong engagement, we will expand through healthcare, employer, insurer and NHS partnerships to become a leading AI-enabled pelvic health platform.
Founder perspective
Suzanne Vernazza is a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with 20+ years of NHS experience and an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur. Having supported thousands of patients and built a global online community, she founded Know Your Floors to tackle stigma, improve access to specialist support and combine clinical expertise with responsible AI to empower people to take control of their pelvic health.
