Innovate UK Climate-Smart Agriculture Partnership: UK-Brazil-Africa is bringing innovative people and organisations together through a range of initiatives.
The first of these were the Scoping Projects, which have built networks between the UK, Brazil, Ghana, and Nigeria. Independent reports have been created by the Scoping Project leads using the input of the stakeholders they engaged with during their project.
The Scoping Project reports include ideas on technologies and partners which could support you to develop an application to the Innovation Awards or Travel Grants which are open now until 11am BST on 7 May 2025.
Each Scoping Project report explores the challenges and opportunities associated within their topic area in Ghana and Nigeria. These are starting points for identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing to develop technologies and practices that promote climate-smart agriculture solutions for sustainable food production systems in Ghana and Nigeria.
What can you learn from the Scoping Project reports?
- Understand the challenges, barriers and technology gaps associated with specific topic areas in both Ghana and Nigeria
- Identify opportunities to collaboratively transfer, develop, commercialise, adopt and scale-out technologies and practices to promote climate-smart agriculture in Ghana and Nigeria
- Explore where your research, innovations, technologies and practices in the UK, Brazil, Ghana and Nigeria might fit in to address challenges in Ghana and Nigeria

- Researchers looking to learn more about areas in which their expertise could be applied
- Those looking at applying to the Innovation Awards and Travel Grants who are keen to learn more about the context their technology or innovation could be applied in
