The projects funded through ADOPT will focus on finding solutions that address on-farm challenges in the agriculture, horticulture and agro-forestry sectors. Projects must focus on improving one or more of the following areas:
- Enhancing productivity and profitability
- Resilience to challenges such as climate change, food security and market volatility
- Progress towards achieving net-zero farming
Projects may incorporate innovative technologies such as robotic harvesting, early detection of lameness in dairy herds and drone technology for precision farming.
This funding comes from Defra, as part of the Farming Innovation Programme delivered by Innovate UK.
