Innovate UK and Claire Griffin, the UK National Contact Point for the European Innovation Council (EIC) & European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) would like to invite you to webinars on 2, 4 and 11 December which will give you an overview of the individual EIC Pathfinder Challenges for 2026.
The EIC Pathfinder programme is for multi-disciplinary research teams to undertake visionary research with the potential to lead technology breakthroughs. EIC Pathfinder Challenges aim to build on new, cutting-edge directions in science and technology to disrupt a field and a market or create new opportunities by realising innovative technology solutions grounded in high-risk/high gain research and development.
With each specific Challenge, a portfolio of projects will be established that explore different perspectives, competing approaches or complementary aspects of the Challenge. The complexity and high-risk nature of this research will require multi-disciplinary collaborations.
These are extremely competitive calls and the aim these webinars, is to help you ‘get prepared’, before the calls open in July 2026.
This webinar series is ideal for researchers, innovators, and organisations interested in applying to one of the EIC 2026 Pathfinder Challenges. There will be opportunities for Q&A following each of the individual sessions.
Session 1: EIC Pathfinder – Advanced Materials for Miniaturised Energy Harvesting Systems – 2 December (10am-11am UK time)
Session 2: EIC Pathfinder – Biotechnology for Healthy Ageing – 4 December (10am-11am UK time)
