About the AI management practitioner training

BSI is offering SMEs within the BridgeAI programme an exclusive opportunity to gain the AI Management Practitioner qualification through free expert-led training, within a dedicated week.

The five market-leading training courses are centred around the world’s first Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) framework ISO/IEC 42001:2023 and are designed to tackle challenges such as model opacity, bias, cybersecurity risks, and more.

Complete all five training courses and gain the AI Management Practitioner qualification.

Alternatively, if you are not able to attend all five courses, you can choose to take individual courses. and not progress with the opportunity of obtaining the professional qualification.

How does this work?

The training courses are offered free for SMEs in key sectors under Innovate UK’s BridgeAI programme.
All courses will be available across one BridgeAI-dedicated training week, starting 16 February 2026. And participants will have access to the standards for the duration of the courses and until the final exam.

Upon the successful completion (including examination) of each training course, you will be awarded an internationally recognised certificate.

    About the training

    This training course is based on a foundational standard for one of the most popular, internationally recognised standards on Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), ISO/IEC 42001:2023.

    This course will help you to:

    • Learn what is needed to build a reliable and trustworthy system through standards.
    • Understand key terms and definitions associated with AI.
    • Deliver the implementation or auditing of an AIMS, ISO/IEC 42001:2023.
    • Discuss these concepts with key stakeholders, demonstrating your AI capabilities to build trust.

    An AI impact assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of how an AI system may affect various aspects of a business, including privacy, security, fairness, and ethics. It involves analysing the potential risks, benefits, and unintended consequences of deploying AI in different contexts.

    This course will provide you with tools and understanding to conduct an AI system impact assessment, either in isolation or as part of an artificial intelligence management system consistent with ISO/IEC 42001:2023

    This course will help you to:

    • Understand the elements, terms and definitions associated with AI system impact assessments.
    • Know how an AI system impact assessment fits within a risk management framework.
    • Evaluate the impact of AI systems on your business through ISO/IEC 42001 (AIMS) and ISO/IEC 23894 (a standard to manage risk throughout the AI life cycle).
