The 2023 National Quantum Strategy outlined a set of priority actions to advance quantum technologies in the UK. To help deliver the quantum sensing and quantum position, navigation, and timing (QPNT) missions, Innovate UK has launched the Quantum Sensors and PNT Missions Primer, which is a £14 million contracts for innovation call that aims to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum sensors (QS) and QPNT products and services.

Hosted by Innovate UK, this cultivation event will take place on Wednesday, 4 June in London to provide the competition briefing and a workshop as well as enable invaluable networking opportunities within a niche quantum ecosystem.

About the Event

The purpose of this in-person briefing event and workshop is to encourage industry professionals, businesses, academics and researchers to enter the Contracts for Innovation competition before applications close on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

Funded by Innovate UK, this competition welcomes projects that would seek to accelerate the development and adoption of second-generation QS and QPNT products and services specifically for one or more of the National Quantum Strategy Missions 3, 4 and 5.

Who is this event for:

Industry, researchers and organisations active or interested in the use of and/or second-generation QS and (QPNT) products and their commercial potential.

Key benefits of attending this event:

  1. Learn about the competition’s brief and rules and ask questions during the live Q&A session.
  2. Contribute to a workshop on quantum sensing that would engage the ecosystem and outline priorities, opportunities and challenges to shape future developments.
  3. Meet and network with industry leaders, thought-leaders, supply chain stakeholders and members of the academic community.

If you want to be part of this quantum mission to galvanise technology development towards ambitious outcomes and bring significant benefits to the UK economy and society, we invite you to register for this opportunity.
