Watch the recording of the UK-China Industrial Decarbonisation Global Expert Mission outcome event. The event was held on 2 November 2022 at Prince Philips House, Royal Academy of Engineering, hosted by Innovate UK KTN and UKRI’s Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge.
This event announced the findings of the UK-China Global Expert Mission (GEM) on Industrial Decarbonisation delivered in February 2022 and brought together an expert panel to explore the next steps for UK-China collaboration in the sector.
Due to travel restrictions, our Chinese speakers and guests joined us via video link from the UK Embassy in Beijing.
This GEM has brought together key experts from industry and academia in both the UK and China to explore the progress, challenges and opportunities for collaboration to advance industrial decarbonisation in both countries. Through four days of deep discussion, participants shared their expert insights on the industrial decarbonisation landscapes in both countries, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and low carbon hydrogen technologies in the UK and China. These insights have been captured in the Mission report and will help strengthen bilateral collaboration and knowledge sharing between the UK and China as new industrial decarbonisation markets develop in both countries.
