Global Alliance

We want the very best of the world connected to the very best of the UK. That’s why we built this programme; to form international collaborations with governments, societies, enterprises, institutions and people from every corner of the globe. It is innovation diplomacy at its best.

Overview

As the United Kingdom, we’re entering a new phase in our international relations. It has never been more important to foster long-lasting partnerships with the global community. Forming these strategic links will help to drive innovation locally, through the UK’s governing bodies, businesses and institutions and bring our talent to a broader audience.

But it’s not just about bringing UK innovation to the rest of the world. Many of the challenges we now face are universal, and having an international perspective on their solutions is critical. We can’t help to shape the future of the world in isolation. As an outward-looking society, we need to build global alliances, from the top tier of international relations down to individual organisations and people.

Find out more about the work we undertake every day to assure the UK’s place at the forefront of global innovation. Talk to our team now to see how we can help you find an international partner that could take your project to the next level.

Our current global activity

Launched in 2019, Innovate UK Global Alliance Africa is an UK International Development initiative, funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The programme aims to build stronger equitable UK-African partnerships to maximise the creation of inclusive market access, funding and investment opportunities, and collaborative innovation between the UK, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya.
