Digital Health & Care

The digital health and care sub-sector is characterised by a large number of small companies developing technology across the health spectrum.

Issues related to the development of digital health systems include access to clinical input, understanding of the regulatory route to market and adoption in the NHS, where multiple customers must be considered (patient, clinician, commissioner and procurement all have differing needs and wants. Other issues include interoperability of digital systems and the disruption of traditional organisational boundaries that ‘digital’ solutions tend to cause.

Innovate UK Business Connect is ideally placed to guide companies through the innovation landscape in the UK. We are increasingly working with agencies outside of the UK through our activity on the Global Expert Mission programme.
