Innovate UK Business Connect, Innovate UK and Dept for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) are hosting a clinic to help businesses planning on bidding for the Contracts for Innovation: Resource Efficiency Impacts Competition by enabling them to speak directly to IUK and DESNZ and ask questions around potential bids, scope of the competitions, eligibility criteria, how to apply for funding and information services available during the competition window (competition closes August 27th).

The Further Education Innovation Conference held in May 2025, organised by Innovate UK, brought together education leaders, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to explore and celebrate the evolving role of Further Education (FE) colleges in driving business innovation and regional growth.

The Department for Transport’s Transport Artificial Intelligence Action Plan released in June 2025 sets out a bold, systems-level ambition: to embed responsible AI in every corner of our transport ecosystem, making journeys cheaper, cleaner, safer — and more inclusive. Framed within the wider UK Modern Industrial Strategy this is more than a technology roadmap. It is a call to transform how we move people and goods across land, sea, and air, and how we build the industrial and regulatory foundations to enable it.
