The Karekot not only reduces the opportunities for babies and toddlers to injure themselves but also protects parents from injury to their backs through an innovative drop-side mechanism.

When Dr Emma Fieldhouse, founder of her business Future we Want, won an Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award back in March 2021, creating a digital version of her carbon footprint educational games was still a dream and she was working full time as a sustainability consultant. The award funding has allowed her to pivot the business and realise that dream.
