European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW): Cohort visit to Brussels
Innovate UK is inviting energy experts to express their interest in the EUSEW event in Brussels, 9-11 June 2026.
European Sustainable Energy Week, now in it’s 20th year, is the EU’s clean energy and renewables flagship event.
Organised by The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), this years theme is ‘A clean, secure and competitive Energy Union‘ and will feature expert panels, networking opportunities and plenty of other opportunities.
What to expect
Across this event attendees will have the chance to discuss how Europe’s energy priorities have evolved and what comes next in a changing geopolitical and economic context through expert panels featuring European Commissioners Andris Piebalgs, Günther Oettinger, Miguel Arias Cañete and Kadri Simson, alongside Commissioner Dan Jørgensen.
This event will also feature an onsite Energy Fair which will showcase activities in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The 2026 edition will host approximately 30 stands in the European Commission’s Charlemagne building.
Who should attend?
Anyone working within the sustainable energy sector or working on sustainable energy projects from Horizon Europe would benefit hugely from attending in person.
Expressions of Interest from universities, research institutes, and SMEs are particularly welcome.
Support for attendees
Innovate UK will support a cohort of UK researchers and innovators to attend this event. This will include the entrance fee to the event, your flight and accommodation. No UK travel to and from the airport or subsistence will be covered. Innovate UK Business Connect will organise and book and pay centrally.
