Launched on 14 October 2024, Invest 2035 sets out a clear ambition for delivering business growth through businesses which will deliver new technologies in emerging markets.
As the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK is here to enable those aspiring entrepreneurs, technologists and business leaders that will deliver growth and productivity for all from concept through start-up and on to growth and scale.
It has been proven time and again that while all businesses can grow, those that do so through innovation can go bigger and faster. That means massive growth and return potential. That’s why Innovate UK is working across the innovation system to unlock and de-risk private capital that will fund that growth.
Investor Partnerships is one of the ways we do this: IUK funding for research and development is provided alongside equity investment from our Investor Partners. Capital flows earlier and deeper that it might otherwise do, bringing with it expertise and commercial acumen. This creates a dynamic environment that fuses technological excellent with commercial focus – the foundations of future success.
Since 2017, Innovate UK Investor Partnerships has so far unlocked more than £1.25 billion in private investment from just £140 million in grant funding.
That success is down to the bold approach of our 155 investor partners and the excellence of the brilliant, innovation-led businesses that have come forward, recognising that alongside technical excellence, the right blend of funding, finance and investment is at the heart of a credible plan for growth.
