Lifted Ventures is an early stage investment connector for regional female founders. We exist to increase the flow of capital to female founders and promote the significant business benefits of backing women.

We achieve this through introductions to our angel network, which has a women’s syndicate nestled at its centre, and our significant co-investment network of senior, diverse investment managers from VC’s across the UK.

Lifted Ventures Co-Founders Jordan Dargue and Helen Oldham have a strong track record of supporting innovative start ups through the grant funding application and fundraising process. Through their careers to date they have supported and leveraged over £455m in to start up and early stage business.

Lifted Ventures operates across the UK, but with a particular focus on the Northern Regions including, the North East, Yorkshire & Humber, North West and East Midlands. They are sector agnostic, but have embedded expertise in, Women’s Heath and Med – Tech, AI, Digital and Data, Clean Growth, Manufacturing, Advanced Engineering, Future Mobility and Ageing Society, as well as wider sectors such as Life Sciences, Fintech, Construction, and creative industries.

Our regional investor network invests in early stage companies with scale up potential. Our expert team helps companies to prepare for investment, and then supports them to access our regional angel investors, VC’s, and early stage and seed funders. Our network supports companies with pre-proof of concept to Series A funding, typical ticket sizes are £150k to £2m. Lifted Ventures has an accessible angel network of over 100 regional angel investors; direct members and wider network members, and a co-investor network of over 250 co-investors across the UK. Lifted Ventures is Leeds based and champions gender-smart investing across the UK, with an ultimate ambition to make the North the gender smart investment capital of the UK.

Lifted Ventures promotes the business benefits of backing female founders and fuels the early stage economy by providing connections to early-stage funding at a critical point in the business life cycle. We help to plug the geographical and gender funding gap by showcasing the wealth of amazing, diverse founders we have in the North and helping them to raise investment. Lifted Ventures champions diversity and inclusion through its Investor Blueprints, showcasing how to make pathways more accessible to female and underrepresented founders with a mission to increase the flow of capital, unlocking significant economic potential.
