Isabel Cook

I joined Innovate UK Business Connect as Knowledge Transfer Manager for Innovation Adoption within the Net Zero team. My work focuses on the delivery of the Net Zero Adopt & Accelerate programme, which seeks to accelerate the adoption of Net Zero innovations in sectors and regions across the UK.

Before joining Business Connect, I undertook research in academia, the third sector and the public sector on topics as wide ranging as sustainable landscape management, modelling past environmental change, invasive marine species, sustainability education, and graduate skills gaps. Most recently, I worked as an Assistant Head of 6th Form and Geography teacher in a comprehensive secondary school. I am therefore very passionate about effective climate change communication and education, and believe that scientific communication should be able to transcend barriers (be they social, physical, economic, intellectual) in order to empower all.
