Growth builds for Insite with Innovate UK support

Date posted: 02/12/2025

With tailored business growth support from Innovate UK, the company has doubled its turnover, created two new roles and strengthened its foundations for sustainable growth.

London-based Insite is accelerating the digital transformation of the construction sector with its intuitive operations software designed for contractors. The platform replaces outdated paper-based processes with real-time digital tools that improve quality, safety and project delivery across construction sites.

Insite gives construction contractors full visibility of site performance through accurate, real-time data. By digitising workflows, it improves efficiency, reduces delays and strengthens compliance across construction sites of all sizes.

Its easy-to-use web and mobile platform is designed for all levels of digital experience, helping site teams capture accurate records, monitor progress in real time and deliver projects that meet quality and safety standards. The result is greater accountability, stronger collaboration and smoother delivery across every stage of construction.

Tyler Jaggs, Co-founder of Insite, says: “Our mission is to make digital site management effortless. We’ve designed Insite to be simple and accessible for everyone on site, helping teams deliver projects on time, safely and to a higher standard.”

Strategic focus strengthens innovation and growth

When Insite began working with Innovate UK Business Growth in August 2024, it had already proven the value of its platform in the UK construction market. However, the company had reached a point where it needed more robust systems and a clear direction to sustain its next phase of growth. A clear strategy was needed to prioritise limited resources, focus product development and identify the right markets for expansion.

Following a detailed needs assessment, Innovation and Growth Specialist, Chelsea Maffia, co-developed a tailored action plan with the company, designed to help it achieve these objectives. The priorities were twofold: to embed a scalable innovation process that would strengthen its product roadmap, and to build financial readiness to unlock future growth.

Together, they put in place a clear plan to guide future product development and refined the company’s marketing approach.

Support to accelerate product development

To build on this groundwork, support first focused on strengthening Insite’s ability to innovate and achieve product scale-up. Chelsea helped the business to identify initiatives that matched its growth priorities – including the Innovate UK Business Growth Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) / Catapult scheme and Design for Growth initiatives. Both are extensions of the specailist-led support offered by Innovate UK Business Growth.

The RTO / Catapult grant was prioritised to improve Insite’s marketing and customer acquisition strategy. Working in collaboration with Digital Catapult, the project delivered key advancements in how the company identifies, attracts and converts high-value customers, directly aligning with the goals outlined in its action plan.
Through this support, Insite refined its Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and repositioned its messaging to better reflect the real-world needs and pain points of construction contractors. It also introduced a structured approach to testing and optimising paid advertising (PPC), launching a dedicated landing page tailored to its core market. This work provided clear data on conversion effectiveness, customer behaviour and return on investment (ROI).

Beyond the immediate results, the project gave Insite a repeatable, data-driven framework for scaling its marketing efforts. It significantly strengthened the company’s ability to position itself as an authority in construction operations software while reducing reliance on intuition-based decisions.

Building on this momentum, Insite completed the Design for Growth programme in January 2025 – a funded initiative that helped the team apply design-led thinking across its business.

Tyler says: “The Design for Growth programme was an incredibly valuable experience for us. It helped train us to think differently about design and introduced a wide range of tools and frameworks that we could apply throughout our design and thinking process.
“With the support of our coach, we developed a much broader understanding of what design truly means – not just in terms of visuals or usability, but as a way of solving problems, creating value and driving innovation.”

The programme encouraged the team to see design as a core driver of innovation and growth. Tyler adds: “It really opened our eyes to the importance of design-led thinking. We left feeling far more capable and well equipped than when we started. It’s had a lasting impact on how we approach product development, user experience and innovation across the business.”

Growth momentum across the construction sector

With targeted business growth support from Innovate UK, the company has doubled its turnover, created two new roles – a sales manager and an administrator – and maintained five existing positions. The business has also expanded into new construction market areas, such as fire safety and health and safety, and introduced enhanced features that improve safety and compliance on site.

Insite’s platform is directly contributing to productivity and growth within the UK construction sector. By replacing paper-based site management with real-time digital processes, it’s helping contractors work more efficiently, cut delays and deliver higher-quality outcomes.

Tyler concludes: “Overall, Innovate UK Business Growth has accelerated our journey, helped us open new opportunities and given us the tools to grow more sustainably.”
