Low Cost Nuclear: Enabling an innovative delivery of nuclear power generation

Through the Low Cost Nuclear (LCN) Challenge, Innovate UK supported Rolls-Royce SMR, to become one of the leading small nuclear technology providers in the civil energy market, acting as a vehicle for significant inward investment, creating many jobs and offering a potential of long-term economic benefit to the UK.
The LCN Challenge was set up to aid the UK’s commitment to net zero, by creating new sources of low carbon base power at affordable cost.
