Green Finance Workshop | Influence the scope of Innovate UK’s £5 million Green Finance competition
Join KTN, Innovate UK and NERC at a workshop to inform future funding competitions around the adoption and commercialisation of Green Finance.
KTN’s AI for Services Network, in partnership with Innovate UK and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), are hosting a workshop to inform Stage 2 of the Climate and Environmental Risk Analytics for Finance (CERAF) programme.
Stage 1 was an academic-focussed competition resulting in the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI), led by the University of Oxford. This centre will advise lenders, investors and insurers to enable them to make environmentally sustainable decisions, supporting a greener global economy.
Stage 2 will focus on funding for business-led research and development projects. We are inviting key stakeholders of Financial Services institutions, fintech startups, businesses, not for profit organisations and academia involved in the development of Green and Sustainable Finance across the UK to attend a workshop and inform the scope of future funding. Specifically, we want to know more about the challenges the sector faces in the adoption of Green Finance and how we can help innovators overcome market barriers. Up to £5 million of Innovate UK funding will be available in stage 2.
Who should attend?
- Organisations involved in the adoption of Green and Sustainable Finance
- Innovators working on Green and Sustainable Finance solutions
- Financial Services organisations working on integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria into business and investment decisions
Why should you attend?
This is your opportunity to inform future funding for Green Finance. This activity will play a vital role in contributing to a more sustainable planet. To drive this change, we need the support of financial institutions, businesses and academia to shape the future of the sector.
