BEIS Nuclear Innovation Programme supplier event, 30 January
Up to £10m available to demonstrate advanced manufacturing and construction techniques
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Nuclear Innovation Programme (NIP) is hosting an event for suppliers on 30 January in Birmingham.
The event will promote a grant call for the¬†Advanced Manufacturing and Construction Phase 2B (AMM) programme.¬† The AMM programme¬†forms part of the government’s commitment under the Nuclear Sector Deal.¬† Through this Phase 2B call, up to ¬£10m is available to demonstrate advanced¬†manufacturing¬†and construction techniques through development and use of a demonstrator.¬† These phases of work are for one year.
The event will also feature information on progress from initial phases of the wider £180m BEIS investment through the NIP as well as presentations from participants in Phase 2A of the AMM programme who will disseminate findings from their work.  This is to ensure that information is shared with the wider industry in order to promote fairness and transparency for potential suppliers and collaborators that wish to bid into the next phase of work.
