Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) competitions consortium building event
KTN has recently run a series of events around the Meridian Mobility 2&3 and CAV4 competitions.
With millions of pounds of potential funding available for successful applicants, the formation of consortia to enter these competitions is of paramount importance.
The competitions are due to close on 29 August and 19 September and to help organisations meet those deadlines and form consortia, KTN will host the Consortium Building event on 8 August in London.  This event is aimed at those who would like to join a consortium or are still searching for partners for their consortium.
The Meridian Mobility 2 competition offers a share of up to £5m for organisations to develop a platform(s) for the exchange of connected vehicle data.  The Meridian Mobility 3 competition has a share of up to £25m available to develop CAV testing infrastructure for autonomous parking and autonomous driving on rural roads.  Finally, the CAV4 competition is a competition from the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles who will invest up to £25m in industry led collaborative research and development projects developing and piloting CAV services at scale in a UK setting.
The first Meridian competitions will both close on 29 August and the CAV4 competition on 19 September.
The event will feature presentations from CCAV and Meridian that will address some unexplored questions regarding the competitions and a case study from Ordnance Survey who will showcase the ECAVE project and potential collaboration opportunities with Ordnance Survey.  The day will close with a drinks reception from 6pm onwards.
