Critical capability workshop for EV batteries
Register for the workshop on the 21st August.
A one-day workshop on 21 August in London is being held to explore the key requirements around safety, standards and testing needed for the development, manufacture and handling of Electric Vehicle (EV) batteries.
Hosted by Innovate UK with partners KTN, BSI, NPL and HSE, the workshop will bring together regulators with battery developers, users and handlers to explore the framework required to support and assist this growing industry.
The draft agenda includes an introduction to the Faraday Battery Challenge, developments in battery technology, an outline of critical capability needs identified to date and a discussion to prioritise needs and potential solutions.
The workshop is aimed at those who are developing or handling batteries, battery materials and battery electric vehicles as well as people involved in safety, testing, standards and regulation related to batteries for electric vehicles, including recycling and second life.
