How to Develop Good Ideas in Paediatric Health and Medicine
NIHR CYP MedTech present an event in February to find solutions to unmet needs in paediatric health, care and medicine.
NIHR Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative (NIHR CYP MedTech) will be hosting an event on 27th February at Westfield Health in Sheffield which explores how ideas can be developed into solutions in paediatric health which can be used by clinicians and patients.  This event, titled ‘How to Develop Good Ideas in Paediatric Health and Medicine’, is for innovators, companies, clinicians and researchers who have ideas for solutions to meet an unmet need in paediatric health, care and medicine.
The event will cover the development and commercialisation elements of the innovation journey. Delegates will be able to listen to talks on: research design and setting up clinical trials; access to funding opportunities; regulatory guidelines; building a value proposition; and financial modelling. KTN’s Knowledge Transfer Manager, Mehdi Tavakoli, will be presenting on KTN, Innovate UK and available funding.
Round table discussions will be held on the previously listed topics, which offers the opportunity for delegates to discuss areas in depth. Case studies will also be presented which outline the experiences of innovators and companies who have developed products which respond to needs in paediatric medicine, with a particular focus on respiratory and sleep innovations.
