ISCF Healthy Ageing workshops: behavioural science and design
This half day workshop in Birmingham on 28th March will explore how behavioural science and design could address the Healthy Ageing challenge.
The Healthy Ageing challenge will deliver new products and services that support older people in the UK to remain active, productive and independent.
As part of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF), the Healthy Ageing challenge will deliver new products and services that support older people in the UK to remain active, productive and independent. The challenge is to innovate, so that older people’s aspirations are met and better, more effective care can support an independent lifestyle as they age.
The latest behavioural science and cutting edge design, working in collaboration with the public and third sectors, and with design, retail and industrial partners, can contribute insights central to this challenge. This includes insights into how to deliver products that will have the highest chance of uptake, appropriate use and value to their customers and end users; the wider societal and/or health impacts of new products and services; the service infrastructure most likely to support product innovation; and understanding of how innovation is adopted in a range of settings.
This half day workshop,¬†organised by KTN, on Wed 28 March 2018,¬†10:45 ‚Äì 15:15 at thestudio…, 7 Cannon Street, Birmingham, B2 5EP,¬†will explore the contribution that behavioural science and design could make in addressing the Healthy Ageing challenge. Attendees from a wide range of research, business, third sector and public sector organisations will have the chance to share their views on opportunities and barriers in this space, and to network with potential collaborators.
