As part of our commitment to supporting and growing our community, the Neurotechnology Innovation Network (formerly SIG) will be hosting a series of monthly webinars. Each webinar will focus on a new development in a different technology area and will be very interactive. You will heard from three expert speakers, each providing a unique perspective to the topic.

The first topic in this new series is: Bioelectronic Medicines

Webinar recording is now available

Bioelectronic medicine is an emerging field where electrical devices read and modulate signally patterns passing through the peripheral nervous system. Chronic diseases and disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes, hypertension and asthma could potentially be treated using these devices. Not only will bioelectronic medicines be able to treat diseases with more precision than conventional pharmaceutical medicines, but they should also have fewer side effects and could be far more cost effective.

In the first in a new series of webinars brought to you by KTN’s Neurotechnology Innovation Network, you will hear from:

  • Prof Tim Denison, University of Oxford – an historical perspective
  • Dr Arun Sridhar, Galvani Bioelectronics – a commercial perspective
  • Dr Tim Constantinou, Imperial – new advances in bioelectronic medicines
