Open source, ethics and innovation in AI
Join The Alan Turing Institute for a two-day event focused on open source artificial intelligence (AI) practices and technologies and AI ethics.
About the Event
This event is part of the 2024 cohort of the Turing Way Practitioners Hub, joined by Experts in Residence from 20 organisations. We invite practitioners and companies, including open source innovators and other ecosystem partners for two full days of debate, discussion, and networking.
Day one focuses on open-source AI practices and technologies, exploring both regulatory aspects and opportunities open source can provide emerging companies in levelling the playing field. With keynotes, panels, and hands-on sessions led by open-source thought leaders, we’ll showcase how open source is driving AI breakthroughs and redefining innovation across sectors.
On day two, the spotlight is on AI ethics, addressing crucial questions on transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI systems and services. You can expect thought-provoking panels, and interactive discussions on bias, privacy, and AI’s societal impact. From designing ethical frameworks for AI governance to exploring the role of regulation, sessions on this day will provide insights into responsible AI technologies.
Who should attend?
Whether you’re a developer, entrepreneur, or tech enthusiast, this is your opportunity to network and collaborate, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI.
