The Alan Turing Institute invites you to the launch of the national consultation of the next version of the AI Skills for Business Competency Framework.

This interactive session will help participants deepen their understanding of the essential AI capabilities required across roles and sectors, and explore how the Framework can guide skills development, workforce planning, and responsible AI adoption.

Since its launch in May 2024, the Framework been adopted across public, private and government organisations in the UK. It sets out the high-level competencies required to ensure the safe and responsible introduction of AI to organisations from the general workforce, through to AI specialists and leadership.

This 90 minute session will offer practical insights and opportunities to engage with experts from Innovate UK, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), FutureDotNow and other leading organisations shaping the future of AI skills.

Agenda highlights

• Introduction to the AI Skills for Business Framework and the national consultation process
  Dr Matt Forshaw and Dr Clementina Ramirez from The Alan Turing Institute will introduce the new version of the Framework and open the national consultation process. Attendees will be invited to contribute insights and feedback to ensure the Framework remains relevant, inclusive, and future-facing.
• Impact stories
  Hear from organisations already using the AI Skills for Business Competency Framework to guide workforce development and curriculum design. A series of lightning talks will showcase early successes and highlight the impact the Framework is having across sectors.
