Innovate UK Business Connect, working in partnership with the Department for Transport and Innovate UK, is hosting an online briefing event for the next round of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC7), delivered through the UK SHORE (Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions) programme.
CMDC7 was first announced in September 2025 and this session will provide the first detailed overview of what organisations can expect from the next phase, how it will build on previous rounds, and how to prepare strong, competitive applications.
To give industry as much time as possible to engage, this initial online briefing will be followed by an in-person event in April (date and location to be confirmed), alongside wider regional engagement activity.
About the event
What the session will cover
- Overview of CMDC7 objectives and priorities
- Eligibility and funding landscape
- Guidance on developing high-quality project proposals
- Partnership and consortium building
- Q&A with the delivery team
Networking and ongoing engagement
Alongside these events, Innovate UK Business Connect will be running a dedicated B2Match networking platform throughout the competition window. This will enable organisations to connect, arrange meetings and explore collaborations, even if they are unable to attend events in person.
In addition, a UK-wide regional tour will take place during March, April and May, providing further opportunities for organisations to ask questions, build partnerships and engage directly with the programme team.
Who should attend
This briefing is aimed at organisations across the UK maritime ecosystem, including:
- Vessel owners and operators
- Ports and harbour authorities
- Supply chain companies
- Technology developers
