Event overview
The UK has been world leading in its focussed funding of over £100m to support innovative solutions to mitigate the effects of end-of-life plastic products. Many of the projects will be highlighted over the 3-day event and you will have the chance to speak to many of them in the virtual exhibition booths.
In addition, initiatives and innovations that have been undertaken internationally to reduce plastic pollution in diverse global regions will show some of the possible solutions that may be enablers of a Global Plastics Pollution Treaty in the coming years.
What to expect
The conference will be looking at the latest research, innovation and trends in plastics and polymers in the following broad areas:
Sector/Systems solutions – including:
- Packaging (including reuse)
- Textiles
- Recycling infrastructure (mechanical and chemical)
Driving Sustainability – including:
- AI and Machine Learning
- Green chemistry
- Emerging business models
Plastic Pollution – including:
- The impacts of legislation, current and future
- Ocean Plastic Pollution
- How innovation can support the Global Plastics Pollution Treaty world-wide
Why attend?
- Discover and discuss international innovations that promise real-world impact.
- Network with a global community working across academia, industry, and government.
