Overview

This event will highlight industrial energy and resource efficiency technologies developed through the Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator (IEEA).

The IEEA addresses one of the UK’s biggest Net Zero challenges: reducing energy and resource use in industrial processes. Funded by DESNZ under the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP) and delivered by the Carbon Trust in partnership with Jacobs and Innovate UK, the programme supports the development of innovative energy and resource efficiency technologies with the potential for wide-scale impact across industry.

About the event

This showcase event offers a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the technologies that have been demonstrated through the IEEA. We will offer insights into the technical, environmental, and commercial performance of solutions trialled in real industry settings. We will explore how these innovations can help industrial companies reduce carbon emissions and accelerate progress towards net zero.

Expect to learn more about innovations in the following sectors and more:

  • Food and drink
  • Chemicals
  • Plastics
  • Textiles
  • Metals
  • Construction

Technologies showcased will include:

  • Industrial heat pumps
  • Novel manufacturing processes
  • Innovative materials
  • Sensors and controls
  • Large scale 3D printing
  • Waste processing

Why attend?

  1. Hear about innovative technologies that have been successfully demonstrated on-site and are available for uptake across industry.
  2. Hear the latest thinking from Government on potential support for industrial decarbonisation initiatives
  3. Discuss what support industry needs to accelerate the uptake of innovative energy and resource efficiency technologies with policymakers and other Government representatives
  4. Network with like-minded industrial companies, as well as innovators and Government representatives

Who should attend?*

  • Directors, managers and engineers from manufacturing and industrial sites aiming to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy and resource efficiency.
  • Energy and resource technology innovators.
  • Energy and resource efficiency experts.
  • Investors and funders interested in clean tech.

*Please note that we will prioritise applications from industrial companies and may need to operate a waiting list if oversubscribed.

As you will appreciate, the Carbon Trust and Innovate UK aim to ensure that events we host achieve a balance in gender diversity and we would appreciate your support with this goal when selecting an appropriate person from your organisation to attend where possible.
