Overview

There is growing awareness of the role industry must play in supporting the UK to reach Net Zero emissions by 2050. Dispersed sites account for half of all UK industrial emissions and therefore play a pivotal role in achieving these ambitions. To support dispersed sites in developing strategic plans for decarbonisation and to prepare industry for the green industrial transition and a low carbon future the Government has made available £5m funding for the Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plans (LIDP) competition. The LIDP online briefing session will provide stakeholders interested in applying for funding through the LIDP with key information such as dates for the competition, application guidance, definitions and eligibility.

The session will be of interest to industrial manufacturers and other key stakeholders, such as local authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), who are looking to form collaborative local cluster project teams and start developing plans for decarbonisation.
