Who should attend?

The event is recommended for businesses in the AgriFood technology sector looking to apply for the KSA GBIP opportunity. To participate in the GBIP programme you must be a UK registered and trading company employing less than 250 employees.

Why is the UK & KSA AgriFood technology market important?

Food and water security is an integral part to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Vision 2030. The food sector not only contributes $19bn to the country’s GDP but also underpins the wider efforts for sustainability and self-sufficiency. The substantial environmental and economic pressures placed on the food sector have led the government to place emphasis on innovation, research and strategic partnerships across a number of areas including CEA and Precision Agriculture, Livestock and Aquaculture. The UK is well positioned to support and partner with KSA to develop and deploy novel agricultural technologies that can be adapted for the KSA climate and challenges.
