SBRI Healthy Ageing Scaling Social Ventures Competition
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is pleased to announce the launch of the upcoming SBRI Healthy Ageing Scaling Social Ventures Competition, from UKRI and our Healthy Ageing Challenge.
Webinar recording is now available
The healthy ageing market we are investing in is diverse. It ranges from helping people remain physically active through to managing the impacts of ageing, such as hearing loss and cognitive impairment. On the way, innovations will help people live independently in their own homes for longer and enable them to remain engaged with their communities. These solutions will address Healthy Ageing’s ‘seven themes of ageing,’ described here.
Launching on 5 September, the competition aims to help companies achieve this mission by awarding a total of £3m. With grants for eligible project costs being allocated across one funding stream aimed at scaling existing products and services. Businesses will be able to apply for grants between 250K and 500K.
To discuss this further, an online briefing event is being held on 21 September to explain how the SBRI for Scaling Social Ventures will work, how businesses can apply and what UKRI are seeking.
During the briefing event there will be an opportunity to register for a 1-to-1 session with Innovate UK colleagues to address specific questions.
