4th Biopharmaceutical Analytical Group Symposium

On 1st and 2nd November CPI and the KTN hosted the 4th Biopharmaceutical Analytical Group Symposium, at CPI’s National Biologics Manufacturing Centre.

Around 100 delegates attended the event in Darlington, bringing together academics and industrialists with the purpose of discussing the latest developments in bio analytical characterisation relating to emerging technologies and look at some of the analytical challenge areas.

The keynote speech was provided by Jakub Dragun from Envigo and the event included a host of presentations from the likes of MedImmune, the University of Manchester, Arecor and the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult to name but a few.

The event provided insights on analytical work involving peptides, proteins, viruses, exosomes and cells delivered by experts from industry, academia, government and Catapults. In addition, there was ample time to network. KTN provided an update on its role in the biopharmaceutical community and information on current funding opportunities, as well as chairing three of the sessions.

The event also gave academics and industrialists the opportunity to submit technical posters which were displayed throughput the conference. All entries were of an extremely high standard with prizes awarded for the top three: 1st Jessica Ebo (University of Leeds), 2nd Sylwia Jozwiak (Lonza Biologics) and 3rd Chloe Dickinson (University of Leeds).
