Advanced Materials and Manufacturing feature highly in UK's lead of international hunt for life-changing innovations
UK expands the global reach of EUREKA by supporting UK businesses to innovate in advanced materials and manufacturing.
Under the UK chairmanship of the international innovation network EUREKA, increased effort has been made to address the global challenge to hunt for world-changing innovations needing support to reach the market.
The UK took on the chairmanship of EUREKA – a global network which has invested nearly ¬£35 billion in projects in 40 countries worldwide- for the third time in July 2018 for a year. EUREKA, brings together more than 40 nations to collaborate, across borders, on research and development and supports the ambitions of the UK government‚Äôs modern¬†Industrial Strategy.
During the one-year chairmanship, the UK aimed to expand the global reach of EUREKA by investing an extra £10 million to support UK businesses and innovators bring new products to market. Innovations in advanced materials and manufacturing have featured strongly in the number of events and calls supporting the UK chairmanship.
