Advancing knowledge in human and veterinary antibody discovery
The Frontiers in Human and Veterinary Antibody Discovery meeting is taking place at the Pirbright Institute on 26-27 November 2018.
Antibodies are a key weapon in the immune system’s defence against pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. As our knowledge of the antibody response expands, cross-disciplinary approaches have become increasingly important to both human health and animal health research.
The¬†Comparative Veterinary Immunology Group (CVIG) of the British Society for Immunology (BSI) is joining forces with BBSRC‘s UK Veterinary Vaccinology Network (VVN) to¬†bring together speakers with expertise in different disciplines to advance our knowledge and understanding of this field and stimulate new collaborations.¬†The¬†Frontiers in Human and Veterinary Antibody Discovery meeting¬† is taking place at the Pirbright Institute on 26th-27th November 2018.
The programme will cover:
- Structure guided immunogen design
- Antibodies of animal and human
- B cell help and regulation
- Translating antibodies – Therapeutics and adjuvants
- Identification of antigen targets and epitopes
- B cell biology in health and disease
