Funding competition now open for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) and Management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (mKTP)

Partner with an expert academic team to deliver positive impact via a KTP or MKTP.

Funding competitions for the Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme (KTP) and its new complementary programme, the Management Knowledge Partnership (mKTP) programme run throughout the year and the current competition opens today, with a deadline of 15 July for applications.

If you have an innovation or strategic management project that could benefit from some outside expertise a KTP or mKTP could be a highly effective solution. Over the last 40 years, KTPs have helped around 12,000 companies innovate for growth and today around 800 organisations are involved in these special partnerships. They involve a collaboration with an academic team in one of the UK’s world-class academic institutions, providing access to their expert knowledge, technology and skills Рvaluable resources to help accelerate innovation or create strategic agility and impact. This expertise is embedded in the company, contributing to lasting, positive change.

The Management KTP (mKTP) was introduced last year to help companies expand management capability and productivity, and they enable dynamic partnerships with a UK Business school to drive forward strategic management goals.

In both mKTP and KTP, projects recruit a KTP Associate who acts as project manager providing a vital link and knowledge conduit between the academic and company teams. Around 300 KTP Associate jobs become available each year, providing a unique career platform for talented graduates or post-graduates keen to apply their academic expertise to real world challenges. See current vacancies here.

mKTP is now part of the same funding competition as KTP and you can find out more about both programmes on the KTP website here.

We have a national network of specialist Knowledge Transfer Advisers who will help you every step of the way with KTP or mKTP – from your application right through to the final analysis of your project. More details of how to apply for funding are here.

If your organisation could benefit from entering a collaborative partnership with an expert academic institution to deliver positive change, find out more about how KTP and mKTP could help – and prepare to apply by July 15th!
