About the Women in Innovation Community Forum

At the end of 2024, Innovate UK convened 50 women innovators for a series of roundtables to explore challenges, gather insights, and identify opportunities to refine our programmes and processes. These conversations directly informed our 10 commitments to women innovators – among them, the creation of a dedicated Women in Innovation Community Forum to ensure ongoing dialogue and shared learning.

The forum comprises 16 members, drawn from diverse regions, sectors and backgrounds, representing a wide-spectrum of business communities including Let’s Fund More Women, UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA), Female Founders Rise, and UK Women’s Enterprise Policy Group. Over a 12-month term, these members will contribute to four workshops to bring fresh ideas and real-world perspectives to our evolving innovation strategy and programmes.

Role of forum members

Forum members are working together to shape our future strategy and support the delivery of our 10 commitments to women innovators. As ambassadors for their communities, they will bring diverse perspectives into our discussions, gather feedback, and champion opportunities that expand visibility and access. By actively engaging their networks and sharing real-world insights, they will help ensure our initiatives remain inclusive, relevant and impactful for women innovators across the UK.
