KTN is hiring an Executive Director
KTN exists to connect innovators with new partners and opportunities beyond their existing networks, accelerating the time it takes for ambitious ideas to become real-world solutions.
We have deep expertise within KTN and powerful connections that span government, funders, research and the third sector. This valuable overview and connectivity enables us to be a trusted guide through a complex global landscape of research, development and innovation. We draw on our own knowledge and convene the expertise around us for the benefit of the UK, creating a positive impact locally, nationally and internationally.
Whilst we have always focused on supporting the UK economy, never more essential than in our current times, we are equally committed to contributing to positive societal and environmental change. We’re now building on our successes with renewed vigour and purpose and it is an exciting time to join us as we launch our new five-year strategy and progress our plans to connect for positive change, finding new ways to extend our reach and impact.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a key role in embedding our ambitious vision and purpose, ensuring that KTN becomes even better known as a leading player in helping innovation through connections and collaboration. You will be joining a high-calibre team, at executive level and beyond, with responsibility for running and developing a major Directorate, as well as for strategic programmes including internal change programmes and external cross-disciplinary collaborations and partnerships.
You will have an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication and strategic management credentials and the energy and gravitas to engage relevant audiences at the highest levels. Well-connected and respected by a broad range of stakeholders across business and government, you will have a personal track record of identifying and responding to opportunities to innovate in support of shared outcomes.
With executive-level experience, you’ll strengthen an already strong executive team, contributing fresh ideas and challenges whilst building a collective vision and direction that can be embedded through the organisation. You will also be an external ambassador who engages at the highest levels across our stakeholder organisations, as well as a leader who attracts and develops talented people who further partner and collaborate internally and externally. You will relish working across disciplines, exploring and stimulating new communities of the future, with an inclusive approach and an eye on the positive change such actions will make.
It has never been a more exciting or important time to join us. We have an unprecedented opportunity to address local, national and global challenges and to contribute to UK success at a critical time.
The role can be located in our London, Edinburgh or Harwell offices, or working from home.
