Next Generation Green Wireless Networks (Next GWiN) 2018
The conference will bring together researchers interested in energy efficiency in future communications networks.
5G is fast becoming a tangible technology with first deployments being prepared and the standard taking a clear shape. However, with new ambitious goals and high data rates of 5G, energy issues are now more important than ever.
Focusing on energy efficiency in 5G, Next-GWiN 2018 will bring together distinguished speakers, from various academic and industrial institutions, and practicing researchers. The workshop is targeted at novice and experienced researchers, PhD students, and R&D engineers from diverse fields with interests in energy efficient communications. Building on the experience of previous Next-GWiN conferences, the programme for Next-GWiN 2018 will continue to provide an in depth and rich exchange of research findings and views in what is a rapidly evolving field of research.
The two-day program on 17th and 18th September 2018 at the University of Sheffield comprises a combination of keynotes, invited talks, panel discussions, and a student session. Next-GWiN 2018 addresses research advances relevant to energy efficiency for next generation networks, as well as next generation networks for energy efficiency, with a primary emphasis on wireless networking. Focus is on the following cutting edge topics:
- Energy efficiency in 5G
- AI in wireless networks
- Green IoT
- Energy harvesting and wireless power transfer
- Connected and autonomous vehicles (Moving networks)
- New frontiers in green communications
