Photonics and Electronics Fabrication Event

Posted on: 07/06/2017

Tthis event will focus on the latest state-of-the-art research enabling innovative solutions to some of the world most challenging problems.

The ability to collect data remotely and transmit signals within harsh environments such as space, the ocean-floor, and the human body, has already encouraged engineers and scientists to identify new material platforms that can survive and safely operate in contexts of high radiation, pressure, temperature, high shock and chemical corrosion for extended periods.

Many applications need highly robust electronics designed to operate in harsh environments which affect product specifications and requirements. As a result, new materials development, advanced process technology, sensor development, electronic devices, energy harvesting, manufacturing, packaging, system integration methodologies and compelling demonstrations of devices that operate well beyond the operation regimes of silicon have been examined using wide bandgap semiconductor materials.

Held on the 15th June, this event will focus on the latest state-of-the-art research enabling innovative solutions to some of the world most challenging problems. The event will highlight three main areas: remote sensing, challenges in harsh environments, and applications, looking particularly at maximizing the potential of technology solutions.

Offering technical presentations from academic and industrial experts, the event will be a great opportunity for you to meet and engage with a range of experts in this exciting and rapidly developing field. The event will also host the NMI Tabletop Exhibition, which will allow you to meet cleanroom suppliers face to face to discuss the services they offer.
