The 10th Anniversary edition of the Advanced Engineering conference will take place on 31st October – 1st November 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham.

Advanced Engineering is the UK’s largest showcase on the latest advances in engineering, converging innovations, latest developments and vital information, driving efficiency and profitability to enable UK manufacturers to compete and grow in an ever-competitive global market.

Advanced Engineering is the UK’s biggest annual gathering of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and engineering supply chain professionals. There will be over 200 presentations over the two days and more than 650 exhibitors’ areas with 15,000 attendees. The latest developments in key industries will be highlighted – aerospace, automotive, composites, connected and digital manufacturing, advanced materials, and civil nuclear new-build engineering. Topics covered will cover the full range of advanced engineering capabilities including design, processing, manufacturing, materials, supply chain, sustainability, testing and measurement, repair and inspection. Advanced Engineering also offers a great opportunity to network. There are six co-located show zones under one roof: aero engineering, automotive engineering, composites engineering, connected manufacturing, nuclear engineering, and performance metals engineering. There are to be six Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited open forums: aero engineering, automotive engineering, composite engineering, composites/advanced materials, connected manufacturing, and nuclear and open engineering.

KTN will be well-represented at the event, with three different speakers appearing in the open forums. KTN’s Head of Manufacturing, Ben Peace, will be discussing the ‘Support and Funding Available for Manufacturing SMEs Adopting Digital Manufacturing Technologies’ during the Business Support for Engineers session on Day 2 of The Nuclear and Open Engineering Forum.
