Royal Society Short Industry Fellowships
Scheme will enable scientists employed in industry or academia to have shorter, more dynamic engagements between academia and industry.
The Royal Society has expanded its industry fellowship programme this year, to include Short Industry Fellowships of 3-6 months. This new scheme will enable scientists employed in industry or academia to have shorter, more dynamic engagements between academia and industry, working on a mutually beneficial and collaborative project.
Collaborations between academia and early-stage companies are particularly encouraged. It is anticipated that the personal and corporate links established by the fellow between the two sectors in the UK will seed longer-term collaborations and contribute to their long-term future development.
The fellowship provides opportunities for an academic scientist to work on a collaborative project with industry, or a scientist employed in industry to work on a collaborative project with a university department or not-for-profit research organisation.
