T-TRIID competition - webinar recording and slides now available
Recordings and slides regarding the competition to fund innovative projects to improve High Volume Transport in Africa and South Asia are available.
A new competition that helps companies develop novel ideas to improve transportation in Africa and South Asia launched on the 5th July. The Transport-Technology Research Innovation for International Development (T-TRIID) competition provides funding up to £30,000 for 10 collaborative projects which show potential to address transport challenges in various countries in Africa and the Asia subcontinent.
The funding comes from the UK Government’s Department for International Development and the programme is supported by IMC Worldwide and the Knowledge Transfer Network. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that their project delivers technical, operational or policy-based solutions in the following themes: long distance strategic road and rail, urban transport, low carbon transport and gender, accessibility and inclusion (particularly the disabled) in High Volume Transport.
KTN recently hosted two webinars providing an opportunity to learn more about the competition.
Webinars covered:
- T-TRIID competition overview
- The four ‘challenges’
- The application process
- How applications are assessed
- What funding is available and how it is awarded

The slides are available to view and download via KTN’s SlideShare account here.
